About Us and What We Offer

    About Us

Mapleton Speech Clinic is a private speech therapy clinic that currently serves the Utah County community providing services for a range of communication concerns, including articulation disorders, phonological impairments, childhood apraxia of speech, language delays, fluency disorders, and more. Our integrated service model combines speech and language with physical movement, art, science, reading, and more, to support learning. We utilize play to promote engagement and carryover. Our goal is to build confidence in our clients and in their ability to communicate.  We get to know our clients and build services that will be impactful and enjoyable for them. We follow our clients' lead to make learning fun and positive. Call or text today for a free consultation to see if our clinic is the right fit for your treatment needs.

Does my child need speech therapy?

While you may hear recommendations of a "wait-and-see" approach, the sooner you begin appropriate interventions, the quicker the progress! Chances are, if you have a concern, help is already waiting for you.

A speech and language evaluation may be the right choice for your child if you find yourself wondering about any of the following:

    • The number of words in your child's receptive vocabulary (words they understand) or expressive vocabulary (words they use)
    • Your child's ability to follow verbal or written instructions in an age appropriate way
    • The ability of others to understand your child due to speech sound errors
    • Your child's frustration while trying to communicate to you or others
    • Your child "stumbling" over their words or "stuttering" more often than their peers
    • Any other speech and language missed milestones or concerns
